ABOUT
Helen Goodman is the Member of Parliament for Bishop Auckland in County Durham. She was elected in May 2005 and has 20,000 constituent members.
PROJECT BRIEF
Helen wanted a fresh new redesign for her website. Having worked with us before on a number of newsletters and leaflets, Helen’s office approached us with the task of producing a redesign that was modern, clean and accessible, and with additional media features.
PROJECT SOLUTION
The site is built on the Wordpress content management system, allowing Helen’s office to post news stories and create and manage content pages. It also features a dynamic photo gallery, an events management system and a video player. The rotating photo viewer allows Helen’s office to show the latest photos of Helen working around the constituency. The visual design is colourful yet clean, with simple navigation and easy to read, accessible text.
With the aid of Google Analytics, Helen’s office can see who is visiting the site, and which pages and news stories are the most popular. With 20,000 constituent members in Bishop Auckland, the new site will be a popular source of information for all.
